At 38g it adds a small amount of weight to the top of the frame, which can very slightly shift the balance point upward. Most players will not notice any difference during play.

Is it difficult to apply?

No. The protector uses an adhesive backing. Clean the frame edge, peel and press it into place. It takes a couple of minutes.

Can I remove it without damaging my racket?

Yes, it can be peeled off carefully. On older or worn frame finishes there is a small risk of lifting the surface, so take your time when removing it.
