Product details

This is a paddle protector designed to fit Adidas padel rackets, though it will also work on many other brands with a standard frame profile. If you have picked up a new racket and want to keep the frame in good condition, this is the straightforward fix. At 38g it adds almost nothing to the overall feel of the racket in hand.

Paddle protectors take the punishment that would otherwise go straight to the frame edge. Scraping the court surface on a low ball, clipping the wall, or catching the fence are all common and all leave marks or chips that weaken the frame over time. This strip wraps around the top of the racket head and absorbs that contact before it reaches the carbon or fibreglass underneath. The black finish keeps it looking clean and matches the colourway of most Adidas rackets without standing out.

This product suits players who want basic, reliable frame protection without spending much. It is not a padded grip upgrade or a vibration dampener, so if those are what you are after, check the rest of our /collections/paddle-accessories range. It also will not suit players whose racket has an unusually wide or thick frame edge, as the fit may not be snug enough to stay in place during play.

Frequently asked questions

Will this fit any padel racket or only Adidas?

It is designed for Adidas rackets but the standard frame width means it fits most brands reasonably well. If your racket has a non-standard or oversized frame profile, the fit may be loose.

Does it affect the balance or swing weight of the racket?

At 38g it adds a small amount of weight to the top of the frame, which can very slightly shift the balance point upward. Most players will not notice any difference during play.

Is it difficult to apply?

No. The protector uses an adhesive backing. Clean the frame edge, peel and press it into place. It takes a couple of minutes.

Can I remove it without damaging my racket?

Yes, it can be peeled off carefully. On older or worn frame finishes there is a small risk of lifting the surface, so take your time when removing it.
